Marlins Move Into 2nd In NL East With Win Over Braves

The Marlins moved up in the NL East with their win over Atlanta Tuesday. Anibal Sanchez pitched for the Marlins in the 6-4 win.The Marlins Cameron Maybin hit a home run and they had a three-run eighth inning to pull ahead. If the Marlins can take 7 out of 10 in their current home-stand they will be positioned well through the first third of the season, sitting just out of 1st. The Phillies are only 3 games ahead after their loss last night and they come to town right after the Braves series, so there is potential to take the top spot in the next week or two.

Today's game features Tommy Hanson for the Atlanta Braves and Nate Robertson for the Marlins. Hanson is 3-3 with a 4.18 era and Robertson is 4-4 with a 4.56. it. It is a pretty even matchup pitching wise so hitting should be the key today. The Marlins need at least 5 runs today to be safe and maybe even 6 or 7. We need to keep Robertson in through 6 innings with at east 6-7 strikeouts. if we can do this we should come out on top today, but the Braves will be looking for redemption and to put themselves right back into 2nd.
