Mike Stanton Batting Fifth Now?

Mike Stanton batted 5th for the Fish Saturday and this could be a sign of things to come. Stanton while only batting .239 has had a very impressive beginning in the big leagues with just over 40 games under his belt. Stanton has 10 home runs and 31 RBI's for the Marlins. Yesterday we saw him hit in the 5th position and we will see that happen again today. Stanton is one of those players seemis primed for molding into a super star. Stanton seems to pick up thing very quickly and with the attention he is getting now in the bigs, along with custom personal fitness trainers, he could easily be belting 40 home runs per season in thie next few years.

Sanchez, Stanton, And Morrison....Future Franchise Stars?

The Marlins while struggling to stay in wild card contention continue to have many bright spots on their team. The young talent on the team continues to look like it could pay big dividends in the future.

Gaby Sanchez is already proving that he is going to be a solid player going forward. His game-play has been consistent and he continues to improve every month. He should garner NL Rookie of The Year honors in our opinion.

Stanton continues to show great promise. As he refines his game, he will have the potential to become a major star. He already has 9 home-runs in 45 games with the Marlins and 30 RBI's. He has pure raw talent and his built like Paul Bunyan.

Morrison was recently in the futures game during the All-Star break and he has great potential as well. He is 6 foot 3 and 235 pounds and plays left field. He started the year on the top 25 rookies to watch for list.

If the Marlins can keep this young talent in the organization we could have some serious power coming to the lineup for years to come. We could even be contenders for the World Series by 2012 when the new stadium opens if we can get some more pitching support!
